Discrete Mathematics Assessment

Some students have informed that they would like to take the course but are unable to attend the lectures regularly. I think that the following system for the assessment strikes a decent balance between rewarding students who contribute regularly in the lectures, while also not punishing those who prefer to take the course remotely.

Everyone will be given a score out of 20 for their presentations and contributions in the lecture.

Case 1: If the percentage score for the presentations is higher than that of the final exam, the assessment is weighted as follows: presentations (20%), homework test (40%), final exam (40%).

Case 2: If the percentage score for the presentations is lower than that of the final exam, the assessment is weighted as follows: presentations (0%), homework test (40%), final exam (60%).
